SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina
A protest to mark the two-year anniversary of the Rabaa killings in Cairo has been held in Sarajevo.
Around 100 people demonstrated in the Bosnian capital on Sunday. They displayed symbols of the Rabia protest movement, the Egyptian flag and photos of the country’s first elected president, Mohammed Morsi.
One demonstrator, Farid Ali al-Zayat, told Anadolu Agency that they organized the rally to commemorate those who lost their lives on 14 Aug., 2013.
"Egypt is having a difficult time. Life in every aspect in Egypt is difficult, especially in terms of human rights, freedom and economy," said Zayat.
Hundreds of pro-Morsi demonstrators were killed when security forces violently dispersed protest camps only weeks after Morsi was removed from power in a military coup.
