Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed regional developments and security issues during a meeting in Athens on Friday.
The two leaders also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the area of investment, according to a statement from Mitsotakis's office.
Regional developments were a key part of the talks, with Mitsotakis saying at the start of the meeting that there were "many" issues to discuss regarding events unfolding in the region.
Mitsotakis has described Greece's approach as seeking stability and dialogue while maintaining strong relations with countries across the Gulf and wider region.
He also stressed the importance Greece attaches to strengthening bilateral relations with the Gulf state of Bahrain, particularly through increased investments in both countries.
Mitsotakis added that the two countries had made progress in their relations in recent years but could do more, particularly in the investment sector.
