An Iranian diplomat died of wounds sustained Saturday in an attack in Yemeni capital Sanaa.
Iranian embassy official Ali Asghar was injured in a drive-by shooting near a mall in al-Hadda district in central Sanaa, a security source told Anadolu Agency.
The diplomat was moved to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds, the source added.
Policemen cordoned off the site of the attack and launched a manhunt for the attackers.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Yemen has been in a state of relative chaos since the ouster of long-serving president Ali Abdullah Saleh in early 2012.
