Twenty members of Islamic State (IS) were killed in airstrikes in Iraq's northwestern city of Tikrit, Iraqi police forces claim.
Armed forces are preparing for an operation to take back control of Tikrit, which was captured by IS on June 11, according to officials.
Armed groups accompanying IS have taken control of some cities such as Mosul and Tikrit in Iraq. Around 1 million civilians have been forced to migrate from the area because of the conflict.
