LONDON (AA) - January 17, 2013 - Red buses and black taxi cabs, symbols of the British capital of London, have been decorated with the colorful ads of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Having arrived in London to promote the tourism sector of the TRNC in 2013, Turkish Cypriot Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Unal Ustel held a press conference at the London Representation of the TRNC.
"We aim to increase the number of British tourists visiting the TRNC in 2013," Ustel stressed.
"125 red buses and 125 black taxi cabs in London were decorated with colorful ads of the TRNC," Ustel said.
"With the tourism campaign in London, we aim to increase the number of tourists coming from Britain," Ustel indicated.
Meanwhile, the black taxi cabs in London will have promotional books on the TRNC.
TRNC's Representative in London, Oya Tuncali was also present during Ustel's press conference.
