ANKARA
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Iyad Madani condemned a series of attacks that hit Istanbul on Aug. 10, according to a statement on the OIC website.
Madani also “offered sincere condolences to the families of the victims, government and people of Turkey on the tragic loss of lives.”
The U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul was targeted in an armed attack on Monday morning. There were no casualties.
The incident came after another attack on a police station in Istanbul left one police officer dead and 11 people wounded, including four other police officers.
