Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission on Monday published interim results of Sunday’s parliamentary elections, with 87.2% of the votes counted as of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT).
Progressive Bulgaria was leading with 44.6% of the vote, followed by Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria with 13.5% and GERB-SDS with 13.3%.
The Movement for Rights and Freedoms received around 6.1%, while Vazrazhdane stood at 4.4%.
Under Bulgaria’s Election Code, the Central Election Commission is required to announce the final vote totals and seat distribution for parties and coalitions no later than four days after election day. The names of the elected members of Parliament must be published within seven days.
Sunday’s vote marked Bulgaria’s eighth parliamentary election since 2021.
