BELGRADE, Serbia
he 28th Sarajevo Book Fair will open its doors to book lovers on Tuesday.
The fair will be attended by over 200 publishers from Turkey, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the Balkan countries.
This year the book’s partner country is Turkey.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Cultural and Information Counsellor Soner Sahin said that nine publishers from Turkey will participate in the fair, along with many important writers.
"Turkey and Bosnia have strong cultural relations. As the fair’s partner country, we are organizing exhibits of Ottoman manuscripts, various activities for Sufi music, and folk music from Rumelia," said Sahin.
"Because of the high interest in the Turkish language, after the fair, we will give away the books to students, libraries, and universities in the country," said Sahin.
The fair will be open through next Monday.
