BAGHDAD
Seven people were killed in three separate explosions in Baghdad on Saturday, police said.
Four died and 13 were injured when a car bomb exploded in the Karada district, a police captain told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity. Most of the victims were Shia Muslims heading to a religious ceremony.
Two were killed and five injured in an improvised explosive device attack in southwestern Baghdad, another police source said, also on condition of anonymity.
A third blast in the center of the capital killed one person and left six injured.
Sectarian violence continues to rock Baghdad as the government attempts to tackle Daesh Sunni Muslim extremists in the north and west of the country.
