ANTALYA
Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak on Sunday said that they would not risk their relations with Turkey.
Novak's comments came as he was talking to Turkish journalists in Antalya where he arrived to attend the 12th Term Meeting of the Turkish-Russian Joint Economic Committee and in reference to Greek Cypriot plans of exploring hydrocarbon in the Mediterranean Sea.
"There are some tough issues concerning the sea around Cyprus. We will never risk our relations with the Republic of Turkey as we share a very old cooperation," Novak stressed.
Touching on the Samsun-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline, Novak underlined that the transfer of oil through the pipeline would be 40 percent more expensive compared to the transfer of oil via the Turkish straits.
