President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Serdar Cam said on Wednesday that they cited Bosnia and Herzegovina as a model to countries that wish to prevent clash of civilization.
Meeting with the Bosnian journalists visiting Turkey as the guest of Anadolu Agency (AA), TIKA President Serdar Cam stated that the Balkans should maintain its multilingual and multi cultural structure.
"We believe more cultural diversity brings more richness. We always cite Bosnia and Herzegovina as a model for countries trying to prevent clash of civilizations," stressed Cam.
Cam pointed out the problems Bosnia and Herzegovina faces recently, urging Bosnians to be aware of the standardization of cultural values in the name of globalization.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina sets as an example for world cultural richness. It has successfully achieved to prevent clash of civilizations and protection of cultural values," he said.
However, considering the cultural richness as a result of the multicultural structure, TIKA President Cam warned Bosnians against cultural corruption via immigration and cultural erosion.
He also touched upon TIKA's efforts in the Balkan region especially as development aid of about two and a half billion USD, underlining TIKA's main aim of minimizing the effects of the crisis in the Balkans.
"Opening its new offices in Balkans and Egyptian capital Cairo, Anadolu Agency displays an outstanding profile with its upward graphics of success by producing and publishing accurate and objective news throughout the world, Cam praised AA's efforts worldwide to be the voice of those suffering and ignored by the world.
He described the success of AA as a result of not only its qualified staff but also its principle of transparent, objective journalism respecting the values of the regions it works in and avoiding any orientation towards their people and internal mechanisms.
