Assad forces bombed suburbs of Syrian capital Damascus where opposition groups are mainly based.
Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) stated that Kabun, Al-Tadamun, Cobar, Muaddamia, Berze and East Guta regions of Damascus were being hit by artillery shells since early Friday. LCC added, there was high number of dead and wounded.
LCC said, as regime forces fired off missiles from ground from the Zemelka region of the city which destroyed many houses. LCC added, Assad forces entered Dareya region of the city with 4 tanks, 2 armored vehicles, 5 antiaircraft weapons including many ambulances and military vehicles.
The Committee said, regime forces fired at residential areas randomly and smoke rose from the region.
