HATAY
Clashes which are taking place in the Latakia town of Syria are being heard from the Turkish border of Yayladagi town of the southern province of Hatay.
Explosions in the Bayir-Bucak region of Latakia town in Syria were heard on Wednesday night from Turkish Yayladagi downtown.
Chairman of Turkmen Community in Syria, Yusuf Molla, told AA on Thursday that Al-Assad's forces intensified the attacks on Turkmen region.
He stated that Syrian army used heavy weapons when shooting and he added that they hit especially the Turkmen villages in Bayir-Bucak region.
"In the last 48 hours, at least 29 people were killed and 48 others were wounded. There are saddening news keep coming from the area. Al-Assad's forces are not being able to come in and fight at the field and so they attack via artillery or tanks. Most of the houses are destroyed," Molla told AA.
