A mortar shell fired from Syrian territory landed in the Israeli occupied Golan Heights on Monday, an Anadolu Agency correspondent reported.
The mortar round, which struck an uninhabited area, resulted in no human or material damage.
Israeli forces are currently examining the site.
In 1981, the self-proclaimed Jewish state officially annexed the Golan Heights, which it captured from Syria in the 1967 Middle East War.
Syria has been in the throes of war since 2011, when a peaceful uprising against President Bashar al-Assad escalated into an armed revolt following a violent government crackdown.
According to activists, more than 100,000 people have been killed so far in the conflict.
