Born on May 25, 1981 in Sakarya, Mr. Karagoz completed his bachelor's degree at Istanbul Bilgi University, at the Political Science Department’s economics and administrative sciences faculty. Later he earned a master’s degree at the same university in human rights law.
Serdar Karagoz, who joined the Turkuaz Media Group as MT (Manager Trainee) in 2008, has taken office at all departments of the group for a certain time period. Mr. Karagoz who started the master's degree program at the New School University Media Works in the United States of America in 2010, began to work at the New York Times Syndication Department.
Serdar Karagoz, A News Television's United Nations Diplomacy Correspondent between the years of 2012-2014, has founded the usabah.com web portal that follows the US agenda while writing articles concerning the US agenda for his weekly column at the Sabah Newspaper. He served as the Foreign News Editor at the Sabah Newspaper with his return to Turkey, also started the Daily Sabah Newspaper's foundation preparations during the same period and in February, he was assigned as the Founder Executive Editor of the Daily Sabah Newspaper.
Serdar Karagoz, who was assigned to TRT in 2018 October, carried on his duties as the Editor-in-Chief and was promoted as Deputy Director General of TRT International Channels. He has susbtantially contributed to TRT’s success in the global media arena by adding Arabic, German, Russian and the Balkans services to the stream. Karagoz continues his career as Chairman of the Board and Director General of Turkey’s global newswire Anadolu Agency since April 7, 2021.
